Do you sometimes get the notion that this country is still very much racist and does a hell of a good job pretending that racism doesn't exist? No matter what your educational, financial or social status is in this country, much of our negative stigmas are still very much alive. What are some of your experiances of modern day racism...at work...in school or wherever...?

I get the notion every day, and I'm white. I am a nurse and the majority of my patients are black (I am white). Many are very racist toward ME, and have overall attitudes. Why is that??

I'm married to a brotha, and I'm Latina we have 3 beautiful children our daughters are in preschool and the children there wont play with them because they are beautifully different. racism is tough at home. and the sistas are racist to me because of who I'm married to i get it from all sides. and i don't care because I'm proud to have my husband and our blacxian children racism happens to us all. too bad they dint have Jesus in their lives.

I see it it everyday here on yahoo, people use the N word like it's money or something.
