My story is wonderful! First of all I am 1 out of 4 children. My sister and 2 brothers were happily married. Me, I was always dating one loser after another. They were always hot looking, but either a drunk or an abuser! I drove my father crazy. He never understood why I chose the men I dated. Well my father met this guy working as a package pick up guy at Sears and they became friends. My dad was a Plumber and went to Sears daily for supplies. Dad asked him, "why are you working here"? he replied, I'm here because I'm board durning the day and I work nights as a mechanic at the Post Office. So dad then asked him, if he was married, the answer was once and never again lol lol Well, after my dad did a complete check list on him he said you have to meet my daughter.. He called me a few times but I was either not home or never called him back. One day my father went back to Sears and asked him why we never spoke, he replied, you ever think maybe she doesn't want to call me back.. so my father picked up his cell phone and called me. I was so surprised when he put this guy on the phone with me. My dad was a real Italian from the old school. OK, so he asked me out on a date. I totally thought he was the biggest geek ever! It turned out to be a great night! He was different then any guy I ever dated. A bit nerdy but amazing. I thought he was so nice and normal.. (even for a Postal Worker lol) we got along great. We talked about so many different and interesting things. He also told me he would never marry again.. Oh did I mention my "DAD" showed up at this date!!!! I almost died. 1 year later and we were still together and very happy. I respected his feelings about marriage and stayed with him anyway because he was such a wonderful honest and loving man.Dad always told me try to date someone normal for change.. and I did... this gets better... OK now all is well with me, dating a normal guy, I wasn't doing the things I did in the past and my father was very happy about that. So dad hooked us up.. Now after the 1 year my father tells me to dump him!!! I was like your kidding me?? But why? Dad said if he truly loves you he will come to you and ask you to marry him! I was like what are you nuts? He doesn't want to be married.. But dad said, Kathy have I ever been wrong.. just do what I tell you. OK, so I told Kevin I had to end it because I wanted more then just a boy friend. And that I wanted to get married.. but I knew it wasn't something he ever wanted again. I was really depressed for a few weeks,
Kevin would call me and I would avoid his calls.. OK, I'm getting to the best part. Valentine's day, Kevin came over to my house and into my bedroom.. when I opened my eyes he was on his hands and knees.......I said what are you doing? Are you OK??? I had no idea in the world that he had a beautiful diamond ring in his hand. I looked in his eyes and we laughed, He stuttered the word, WILL YOU MAAAAA RRY ME! I WAS SO EXCITED!!! I WAS SHOCKED! My father was right again. Married 7 years now and never been happier in my life. I lost my father 19 months ago from MAD COW DISEASE, and I hurt everyday,not only was he my father but my best friend! I will always treasure and hold on to the memories, and all he did for me. He even told me at my wedding as we danced to " Daddy's Little Girl", if I die tomorrow at least I can go knowing you will be happy and taken care of. And he was right...

My aunt was leaving an abusive marriage and coming to live with me. He was helping her move. I was up all night, hadn't showered, my hair up in a ponytail with day old make up, doing a rush pack job to get her stuff out before he abusive husband showed up. He walked in a fell in love with me and talked to my aunt all week at work about me - of course, I agreed to meet him and fell in love too. He's my best friend!

I met my husband at work. I was going to get supplies for the department that I was working in and I had to go into his office to see if he could help me get something off a higher shelf then I could reach.

Oh me & a friend of mine were going to class, and we pulled over because she seen my didnt know husband to be lol. and we started talking,and it build on from there, together seven years and still counting.

Through his sister......I was 15 and he was 18. We will be married 32 years the 7th of this month
