Kids don't learn the truth soon enough. I know a girl who got pregnant when she was 10. (don't worry she got an abortion). This could have been prevent if only she knew the truth about how babies are made, and how to prevent it.

start slowly talking about pregnancy and how hard it is and puberty in 3rd grade...in fourth, talk specifically about certain subjects like periods and about AIDS and kinda scare them, along with telling girls to watch out for older guys that want them only for their inoccence- In fifth, talk about things that happen to those who get pregnent when young and what effects it might have on the baby. Also talk about abstanance and condoms. after 6th, just remind them this and hope for the best!!!
Yes you should start talking to them early on or older kids will. And becasue girls are now developing faster...periods are starting as early as age 9!!!

I think around 10 is a good age. Don't know why someone would have sex with a 10 year old since the boy would probably had to have been 13 at least to cough up some "juice". But if it's your kids you want to tell (if you have kids) then tell them whenever you feel is necessary. Don't dump all of this on them at too young of age and you don't need to tell them everything but just the basics and not to have sex at a young age. I never really got the "talk" from my parents but they kinda dropped hints from time to time. Try that also if you don't want to just drop it all on them at once.

i imagine little ones might want to learn about condoms and birth control before they quite choose them. in case you keep a watch on your little ones and tell them, then optimistically each thing will tutor very well. i imagine both men and ladies might want to understand what a condom is and the thanks to apply it, and all little ones, at the same time as they attain puberty, might want to understand precisely how little ones are made and the outcome of bringing them into the international. little ones on the age of ten might want to no longer be having little ones. they're nonetheless little ones themselves.

Well, I know we got "sex ed" for the first time at school when I was in the fifth grade, but I think younger kids need to know about how babies are made.

Kids learn at school in 5th grade and that is an appropriate age in my opinion. If your letting your child run around town and all that , then I suppose you should inform them sooner, but if they just stay home and dont run the town. 5th grade is the right age.

I really never had "The Talk" because I just kind of found out I'm not sure how but I think that about nine they should cause if I would have gotten it around then it would have saved me a lot of confusion.

It varies from child to child if you ask me. In my opinion they should learn about it when they reach puberty. Some kids hit it when they are 16, some when they are 8. Depends on your situation really.

This could be prevented if parents taught their children about marriage before sex. I don't think condoms and birth control should be taught to kids. I think they should be waiting until they are married first and also emotionally and physically ready.
