I would say "The Exorcist" is the most truely frightening and disturbing movie I ever saw. I have seen plenty of horror movies, and they aren't really scary; just gross and ghory.

I would have to say "The Exorcist". I am still unable to watch it all the way through. I would also have to say "Lady in White" (made in 1988), "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Stephen King's It" and that "card board boy" in the scene in 3 Men & A Baby still creeps me out.

As far as a horror film goes, The Exorcist does it for me. But, otherwise, any movie about acts against children (kidnapping, rape, murder, physical or mental abuse). I am the mother of three and those things scare me to death.
