First of all (easier said than done), try to relax about it. The more pressure you put on yourself, the harder it is for it to happen. I know that from experience. Have a glass of wine, relax together, have a date night....
People say the every other night thing should do it...I was told to do that for month after month when my husband and I were trying, and to be honest that just got us more stressed and made sex into a chore. Neither one of us felt like it and we would feel defeated when it didn't happen.
The best idea we had was charting my basal body temperature along with using a top of the line fertility monitor. They are pricey, like $150 or so for the one I used (clear blue easy) but they told you when you needed to have sex and do the every other day thing. When I looked at that and my graph from taking my temp each morning, I was able to tell when I ovulated and I knew we had timed it right.
Keep in mind, even when you time it right it still may take awhile. But knowing that you are charting and stuff takes the stress away...if for some reason you do need to go the medical route you will have that knowledge and the charts to help the doc. see what you have been doing. Hope that helps!

Lots of sex! ha ha, just kidding...

No, seriously, one thing you need to do is keep track of your cycle. Keep a chart of how many days it lasts each month, including your period and how long it lasts. You usually ovulate in the middle of your cycle, so this will give you the best chance of timing things right.

When my hubby and I had trouble the first time (i'm pregnant w/#2) we used an Ovulation Predictor Kit, available at most drugstores. It worked the first time! It told me exactly when I was ovulating.

Another thing to do is make sure you are taking a vitamin with Folic Acid, even a prenatal vitamin is fine. It will give your body the nutrients it needs to create a healthy pregnancy.

Good Luck!

OKAY BUT THIS WILL BE HARD TO DO BUT IT WORKS !

About 80% of the time when a couple STOPS CONCENTRATING on getting pregnant they get Pregnant.

The stress and anxiety is too much, just relax and keep practicing every day and night just for the FUN of it. Have Fun and LOTS of it.

Best of Luck. ( oh, by the way , take the phone off the hook and lock all doors and windows) Well, don't you hate it when in the middle of everything you get interrupted???????????

there are lots of things you can do to maximise your chances.

firstly you can track your bbt. you can buy a special bbt thermometer or like me just a plain old digital one. take your temp every morning before you get out of bed, have a drink etc and plot it on achart. if you type in fertilityfriend on google it will come up basic membership is free but you will get 30 days of vip member ship free too.

after your period your temp may stay around the same temperature. when you ov it will drop then rise again after it will continue to stay high until your period is due dropping again if it appears and if your pregnant it will stay high. you can sometimes have a dip near your period or a peak this can signal implantation but not always.

secondly you can chart your cervical position (cp) and cervical mucus.

after your period your cp will be high dry and closed will feel like the tip of your nose. when ovulation approaches it will drop really low be open and wet and will feel like your lips.
again do this in the morning as in tyhe afternoon it tends to drop because of gravity.

your mucus will be sticky and scant after your period. then it will change to creamy like lotion. when your approaching ov it becomes watery and then around ov it becomes like egg whites really stretchy.

have you used opks. i buy mine off ebay and use them when i think im gonna ov this also helps to pinpoint ovualtion. also you can buy a fertility monitor (im using clearblue one0 they can be expensive but definately worth it at this gives you 5ish fertile days so you know you will catch the egg in time and it does all the work for you giving you a definate answer unllike opks where you have to compare the lines. but if you dont wanna spend money then bbt is best.

sorry for the ramble.
hope this helps and you get pregnant soon x

Have you tried charting your temp? How reagular are your cylces? IF they are 28 days, then u should ovulate on day 14, when u count from the first day of red blood. Other than that, I dont know what else to tell you, except that things will happen when God is ready for them to.

a good idea is to try tracking your ovulation cycle. I don't know what time of the cycle you're most likely to conceive but it shouldn't be hard to find. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Good Luck!!! ,
