3. What has been the most influential/significant experience you have encountered on the job?

4. What are some rewards of your profession?

Ask them how long they have worked professionally as a programmer.

Ask them how changes in technology have impacted their career.

Ask them how they would adapt if their current programming environment became obsolete, how well would they adapt to a new language/environment.
