I heard a friend tell a friend that he knew a friend that has a friend that used to be a friend of a friend, and his 2nd cousin (twice removed) may have heard that a friend of his heard a friend say he might not go anywhere.

He's going nowhere. 1. He's a 10/5 guy so he can veto any trades. 2. He may have only 2 years left on this contract, but there's an option for 2 more years, and he'll most likely want his new team to pick it up. Is there any team that's willing to take his shenanigans for 4 years? 3. Who's going to protect Ortiz in the line-up? Drew? I don't think so. 4. He's still one of the best hitters in baseball, so the Red Sox would want a trade where they can get players that can fill their needs right now, and they probably want some prospects for the future.

Manny Ramirez likes Joe Torre's way of managing the team with his passive way. He is thinking of picking up a 2007 option with the Yankees. Brian Cashman is very interested in Manny Ramirez and will trade Alex Rodriguez for an exchange of Manny Ramirez. Besides, ARod's NYY years are done. He had 2 years to prove he could be the next Yankee power player, and he did only offensively, not even close to defensively with all of his errors. He had his chance to get into the Hall of Fame wearing the old blue pinstripes with greats Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, but he couldn't do it. He might as well go to which ever team Lou Pinella is on. Goodbye lipstick model!

Theo Epstein is going to do his best to make a good trade, but Manny being Manny may veto anything at all. Boston is ready to be relieved of Manny and his Manny-ness, and they should be able to find someone who is willing to take on his terrific run-producing bat. Looks like he's heading West, from the sounds of the talks this week. I'd guess Dodgers.

From what I've heard he might go to the Dodgers. The only problem is that the Red Sox are asking for three of the dodgers top prospects. I hope our GM says no, I really don't want to see any of those three guys go to boston or anywhere else.

The Angels would be the best fit for Manny. Him and Vlad Guererro would make an awesome combination in the middle of the order.

Pretty much where he wants. He can decline trades. Doesn't mean he wants to stay in Boston. It just means he doesn't want to go where they'll take him.
