Yes. The old school stuff was full of lyrical artists who actually talked about deep thoughts and used what was around them and turned it into poetic words. These days all you hear about is money, bling bling, b itches, and hoes... I'm more into rock and metal ,though I do listen to common and other great musical artists like him.

Old school rap most definitely this stuff today is ridiculous and mindless. Like people said there were some fierce lyricists back in the day that rapped about stuff that mattered, and I know people are saying that all rappers are non- talented but true rappers can free style and battle most people can't do that!

Yes. I'm not talking about the "look at me, i'm so cool i have the same lyrics as everyone else and only two backround tracks and i stay on the same note for half the song" type of rap/ hip-hop music, I'm talking about the innovative, non-commercial ARTISTS.
I'm not saying that the other people aren't talented, i'm just saying that they're wasting their talent. And I'm not saying that that music isn't catchy and fun to dance to at parties and all that good stuff, it just doesn't deserve as much respect as other better music.

Not what you hear today in America but if the real lyricists were around a lot like back in the day I would give you an automatic yes to your question

Both.

Oldskool rap is better than new school rap, rap nowadays is trying to influence a non-black community.

OLDSKOOL FOREVER!

Yes, if you listen to it and understand it. I love rap music.

Neither...it is by any standard lousy poetry and by any standard not singing but speaking in a jutted way. Try it take away any music in the background - there is no tune. Write it on a piece of paper - its just ramblings.
