Not any more. I tried that for most of my life, and it almost cost me my life. I ended up in a psych ward for a little while, and I have to say I've come a long long way. I am happy with who and what I am, I also try to be respectful and loving of my friends and family, but I refuse to change any more for anyone else.

In a way, yes I would. While I would never change my convictions, I would of course compromise for someone I loved. That's what marriage is all about, according to the Bible. It's a bit difficult to explain in just a few words :)

You don't really change yourself if you're doing it for someone else. It's like you're just "playing a part" for as long as you have to, to please that other person. Sooner or later, you'll either get tired of not being yourself or they will finally figure that out. You can ONLY change for YOURSELF! Good luck!

I suppose. If I was a bad person. I HAVE thought about it, but, you know, she doesn't feel the same as I do, so, why try to get her to? It should be because she wants to. Not because of something I change.

Yes. Even though I know better. You have to change yourself for yourself. Never for anyone else.

I'm sure I would try to. No matter how unhappy it made me. But I wouldn't be able to keep it up for very long. I am always trying to make everyone else happy even if it makes me miserable. But it doesn't usually last for very long.

I don't think so , unless it was some bad trait or habit that could
be better for all concerned including myself if I was to give in or
change my way of doing things.

yes, if it is a necessary change not only for him, but for your self. Not everyone is perfect, and sometimes it just takes a person to point out your faults for you to realize them and make the effort into being a better person.
But if its like "please change the color of your hair; i like blondes." Then tell them to screw off..
