Just wondering what we will be able to download by the first of the year. And do you have to have one of those cards or can you just purchase them straight from wii connect?

You can purchase them straight from the Wii connection if you have a credit card. However, you don't just purchase each game - you buy a set amount of Wii points (1000 for $10, 2000 for $20, etc.), then use the Wii points to download games. So you can't just get a single game for $5, I believe $10 is the minimum amounts of points you have to buy.

I have the original Zelda and Sonic the hedgehog so far on my Wii.
