I would consider her overweight (fat). For a girl that tall, I would say that 130 - 140lbs is more ideal.

Finding ideal weight: 5'0 is 100 lbs. For every inch after that, add 5 lbs. so 5'8 would be 140 lbs. BUT this doesn't take into account your frame size or other factors, like muscle mass. Just focus on being healthy....don't worry so much about the number on the scale (I know it's easier said then done).

According to the Nationa Heart, Lung and Blood Institute website, your weight is slightly above average. You have a BMI (body mass index) of 26.6. You should try to keep your BMI between 18.5-24.9. You would only have to lose 15 lbs to be in the normal range. Feel free to check it out for yourself. Here is the link.

*Keep in mind that it changes if you put in 5'9". I only put in 5'8" for your weight. Hope this helps!

That depends, My scale has a body fat reader on it. I am about taht same hight and I weight 160 and I am slender and have an ok build, So I dont think you are over weight.
If you are that worried about it, Contact your doctor, they will tell you what they think is healthy for you!

her body mass index would be 26.2 (using the formula at the source) which is slightly overweight (normal being between 18.5 to 25).
of course, her physician should be her primary source for health advice, as "healthy weight" varies from person to person.

That is slightly overweight but if she is healthy then it is ok. Maybe she can be encouraged to take up some sports to keep in shape
