It's not important to know all truth to do just one thing, but if one knows just a single truth about something, it's enough to go for it.

Which is the case.. most people know what they should be doing next, they just don't do it. So they forget it, but even if they remembered it again (embraced it), they will forget it again, because they didn't accept it in the first place.

In my case, I know enough truth to help me be a better person but I don't have enough courage to fully go through the challenge of change. And it is as you say, very difficult.
