It's ironic, but all of the "dreams" in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" aren't dreams at all. Bottom, Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius, Helena...they all ASSUME that they've been dreaming, because they're unwilling to believe that all they've experienced is possible...but the fact is that it all happened.

you could relate it to what lewis carroll said "what is life but a dream?" because all those kids a "living" in what seems to be a dream. the theme could possible be related to the idea of life, and creation, like an alternative to god, as in we could all just be a part of someones dream
