No, why stop! People did it for senturies, and only now it became "weird". People are staring because it is unusual to see nowadays someone dancing outside and showing the world that they are happy, that's all. I assume you are not doing anything offensive, like dancing without your clothes.

Oh my goodness no! If you're having fun forget about the "drive-byers" (I would turn up the music and wave at the staring faces.) They're probably just confused at what's going on. If it bothers you that much go inside or behind your house, but don't let others stop you from doing what you like to do.
People used to look at me funny at volleyball when I'd be dancing around on the court in between timeouts and stuff. But after awhile it became my thing and others joined in.
... those people are in awww.. they wouldn't have the guts to just be free and fun, dancing free-spirited out in their yards!
Go for it... Have a Ball!

No way! dont stop dancing. the reason they are probably staring is because you look careless and free. They are thinking about all the stressful things that the day may bring (or has already.) and then they see the 2 of you. I am a dancer and when your dancing all you care about is the steps and not the stresses of life. So please dont stop dancing, just pump the stereo louder and keep shakin your booty at those cars as they drive past.

You know what, dont even pay attention to them. It doesn't really matter because you'll never see them again!
Also, dancing is so NOT wierd! I dance all the time and people may stare at me wierd but I know that this dancing that I do isn't just made up funny business.

Possible questions they may have:
Dancing on the sidewalk? To what music? What for? Why? Is there something I am missing? Why are they so happy? Don't they feel embarrased?
