"My Asian friend just called me a "wigger". Doesn't she know only whites can use the W-word???"

Just clarifying that I could NEVER EVER EVER be racist. My sister is black and my brother is Korean. Call me naive but I really just want to know why my words were offensive.

It's not really a literal question. I guess I just found it strange that the N-word is used by some when referring to each other but is considered racist when used by others. I disagree with it's usage period.

We thought this question was a little more obvious than it was. Really sorry if it offended. That was not at all the intention.

I don't think it's particularly offensive, but here's my guess:

N_gger = black person
Wigger = white person who "acts Black"

You are treating "wigger" as though it's the same as n_gger, but it isn't - "wigger" does not mean that "white people are inferior", which is how n_gger has historically been used for black people.

"Wigger" refers specifically to a white person who tries to act black, and saying that non-whites can't use the term suggests that white people have been oppressed and discriminated against through the word "wigger", which is why nobody but whites should have the right to use the term.

But they haven't been oppressed! Most white people aren't even considered "wiggers", whereas the N-word can be applied to all black people.

So I guess my point is, *anyone* can say "wigger", just as anyone can say "loser" or "wannabe" or "punk" or "preppy" - because it refers to the way a person behaves (like a black person, despite not being black) -- not to a colour of skin which historically has been devalued.

Anyway, I don't think it's a big deal. At the very worst, someone could jump to the conclusion that you don't have that much knowledge about the history of racism, or something like that. But it doesn't indicate that you are racist.

Good luck & happy word-debating!

It relies upon, are you somewhat humorously portraying cultural truisms? Or are you demeaningly conflating being lower priced with being Jewish? Are you talking of creating relaxing of yankee Jews in elementary words? and then in elementary words the Jews of eastern eu descent? Are you making relaxing of Israelis? What about Ethiopian Jews? Are jokes hostile to them a twofer, zinging both Jews and Blacks? and what's a "black" comic tale? who're you somewhat making relaxing of? human beings from the deep South who percentage a dermis tone, or human beings from Philadelphia with that exact same dermis colour? What about human beings from Nigeria? Are they blanketed? What about those from Paupau New Guinea? the biggest element is motive! this is continuously quite elementary to inform even as the jokes are meant to be demeaning and hurtful, or maybe as this is only meant in relaxing. yet each and every so often this is all too elementary for some outsider with hurtful intentions to declare, "hi there, it replaced into only meant to be comic tale."

whites arent the only ones who can use wigger. its calling someone a white ******. meaning that you are a white acting black. it is a description, not an insult. in that definition anyone can use it.

its racist because you say "only whites can". By saying that, you're restricting what people of other races can and cant say, implying that they are inherently inferior.
