my wife is on her peroid and I was wondering is it usually 28 days from the end of the peroid to the begining of the next one or is it 28 days from the begining of one to the beginning of another, I'd ask her but neither of us are really comfortable talking about it and she is actually kind of testy right now, I would just like to be able to predict when the mood swings will start and end

I am always especially nice to her during this time, I don't have to go through this myself, but i can only immagin with all the hormones going haywire, the bleeding and the cramps on top of that

it is generally 28 days from the end of one to the beginning of the next, but every woman is different. i'm sorry you have to deal with your wife's mood swings, but try to be extra nice to her during this period, because believe me, she's having a worse time of it than you are. if your wife suffers from PMS, her moodiness may start earlier though.

I don't know. But if it happens every 28 days then its probably from the first day of the last menstrual cycle . And that is why at the OB-GYN they ask you what day you started your last menstruation. Just an educated guess, though. Here is an article on it. The best way to live through PMS is to be super sweet and supportive of your menstruating wife. She needs hugs and comfort and back rubs and a heating pad or a warm hand on her lower belly. Now get in there and let her cry on your shoulder.
