I am 32 weeks now and I feel like Im small for 32 weeks, although I am a small girl. I have been gaining the amount of weight im supposed to be gaining so far but I still look small. Does this mean I will have a small baby? Could it mean my fluids are low? And if so wether it be the fluids or the baby how can I tell without getting another sonogram done? I have my next docor's appointment in two days but just wanted to get opinions from other moms. Thanks!

If doctor has not said your fluid is low, you are fine. I stayed very small & at 8 months I finally needed maternity clothes, I delivered a 6 lb 1 oz baby girl at 36 weeks (that weight is normal for 36 weeks, not small) If you have a long torso like I do your belly appers small, but all the baby is there, good luck!

No, it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

The sonogram can give your doctor SO much information without harming you or the baby at all - if there could be a problem you should just do it. The risk/benefit favors you spending the extra money now, to know your fetus is healthy, rather than dealing with problems after s/he is born. And the peace of mind you'll get when they do all the measurements and tell you your baby is normal, is great.

I measured small my whole pregnancy and had repeated sonograms, but it turned out to just be that my pelvic opening is large relative to the rest of my anatomy, so the fetus had dropped down a lot, and the baby also has short legs (just runs in the family).

The size of your belly on the outside has nothing to do with your baby. It's all how you carry, some women carry back more then others.
I've had people tell me I look small my whole pregnancy and my doctor says everything is just fine.

Your doctor is measuring your stomach and keeping track of how the baby is growing just by feeling.

The size of ur stomach dont mean anything. Its the weight u gain really. I gained 23 lbs during my pregnancy and people thought i was only 25 weeks even when i was in labor.

my step sister came to visit us for an early xmas one year and suprised us with the fact that she was preg. going by her size at the time we thought 4 months max... nope... she gave birth to a 9lb on xmas eve!!!
she looked way too small to be that far along... but all was correst...
so id say you wont know what size your bub will be til you meet him/ her.
on th other hand my older sis always carried lots of fluid and only ever had small bubs...

every one is different

You still have 8 weeks to grow and your baby is pushing your organs back and up so your baby will be bigger than you can guess by looking at your belly.
