I know they exist, like for families w/ young kids, and can go cd and sleeve into the drive. What are they called or what company makes them?

OK people. I know this has to do with current DVD or CD drives. They are special sleeves, like the white ones that some programs come in, that the disks can be kept in when not in use (to prevent scratching). However, these can actually be placed into the drive so that the CD never comes out of its protective coating and thus never gets scratched. I am also pretty sure that these are being specifically marketed, for obvious reasons, to families with young kids so that the kids don't ruin their media.

I know Wal-Mart carries a product called d-skins that slip over the CD or DVD.

Are you talking about the old "caddy" drives? All modern CD drives are caddyless... I hear Plextor still makes caddy drives (www.plextor.com), but that they're pricey.
