Most herbs you ingest. I don't know how you can get that to work in a pillow. Anyways, the main herb that helps in making you fall is asleep is Valerian Root. Chamomile, 5-HTP, GABA, Kava, Melotonin, and Passionflower are also used.

You know, I'm not sure about herbs, but something that might work would be a pillow with small speakers at the sides that play music. Music helps a lot of people fall asleep and headphones are very uncomfortable. Just an idea, might work or might not.

lavender satchels are actually already put into pillowcases to help people sleep, also Valerian root ( even though this one smells bad, it might sound like you know what you're talking about) :) chamomile does work , also mint helps clear up the sinuses so you breathe deeply the other smells and therefore fall to sleep even quicker. hops are a kind of plant that also help you to fall asleep ( I've only ever heard of this one in a tea form ) but it's a little bit controversial as its the closest relative to marijuana in the plant family.... good luck!

AN HERB THAT CAN HELP INDUCE SLEEP BY INHALING IT IS LAVENDAR. YOU CAN PUT THAT IN YOUR PILLOW. IT IS VERY CALMING.
AS FOR HERBS THAT YOU INJEST, CAT NIP TEA, REALLY, HAS THE OPPOSITE EFFECT ON HUMANS,
VALERIAN, CHAMOMILE, HOPS, BUT I DONT THINK THESE WOULD HAVE THE SAME EFFECT IN A PILLOW..
LAVENDAR IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR..

i actually went on line and found a heating pillow filled with the following herbs..
Ingredients:
lavender, valarian root, white willow, chamomile, rosemary, peppermint, spearmint, hops, yellow dock, lemon grass, cinnamon, yarrow, premium flax seeds and other natural materials

good luck..
GOOD LUCK

Antihistamines
“Histamine” is found in the brain and helps keep you alert and awake. An “anti”-histamine crosses over into the brain and makes you sleepy. Many people take an antihistamine when they have a problem with allergies. In addition to helping treat their allergies, it is also known to make them very sleepy. You may not be sure if your allergy or cold product contains something that can make you sleepy. Ask your doctor or pharmacist in order to be certain.
