Can any one tell me what Ennis said at the very end of the movie when he was looking at the postcard and Jacks shirts that were hanging in his closet?

I just watched it Saturday night for the second time...and to be honest, I had to put it on closed caption because I couldn't make out some of the things Ennis' character said throughout the movie.
His words were, "Jack, I swear".

Too many people got fixated on the "gay" aspect of the movie. It was really a sad commentary on the mindset of 2 people who truly loved each other but weren't able to be together due to the "hate" and violence often perpetrated on homosexuals at that time. It was such a sad ending. Ennis ends up alone with nothing but a souveneir of the one person he ever truly loved and who truly loved him because of his fear of retaliation by the people of his community. I have been married for 21 years and I hate to think what those years would have been like if I had to hide and sneak around.

i totally agree with you. that movie was about love, nothing more. anyone who doesnt like the movie, is just uncertain about their sexuality and or isnt open to two gay men who love eachother. i LOVED the movie and continue too. at the end Ennis says "Jack i Swear" what that means, i have no idea. but who cares it was still the BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That movie scarred me.
I'll leave the story for another day but, I can't erase the image of Ennis lubin' Jack up for a first time go.
