Aug 5, 2001, Cleveland comes back from 12 runs down in the 7th inning vs. Seattle and wins 15-14 in the 11th innning.

The most runs that a team was down is 12 and it was done a couple of times but I think the biggest come back was in 1901 when the Indians with two-outs and no one on scored 9 runs in the ninth to top the Senators 14-13

someone already answered this with the Cleveland Indians vs Seattle Mariners game which once in awhile shows up on ESPN classic. This year 2006, the Same Indians gave up 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning at Kansas City and came back to win that game which I think this was the greatest comeback after allowing 10 runs in the first inning of a game...

Obviously, this depends on how you define the term. I believe the Red Sox trailed the Senators, 12-5, with two outs and no one on in the bottom of the ninth in a game around 1950. They won the game, 13-12. But the record under those circumstances is nine runs, done twice in 1901.

The one that I remember was in July 2005 the Yankees were down something like 3-10 to the Rays until the 8th inning, they went on to score 13-14 runs in that inning. Sweet Lou was the Rays manager throwing things around in the dugout. It reminded me of that Bugs Bunny cartoon were the batting order kept going around and around

1986 World Seris game 6. Mets Vs Boston the ball rols through the legs of Bill Bukner. The rest i am sure you know if your a baseball fan.

Pap took my thunder away.....the game in "86 where Buckner missed the ball to send the Series to game 7 and the rest is history.....the "curse" of the Babe and the Cub "curse" of the goat got them that night.....a lot of people never realized until recently that Buckner was wearing his supposed "lucky" batting glove on his right hand (glove) when he missed the ball.....check out the dejected picture of him walking off and check his right hand........his "lucky" Cub batting glove!!

This year, in the ninth inning Dodgers were down by 4, and they hit HR after HR after HR after HR switching different pitchers to tie up the game. dodgers later win.
