I loved them both! I saw Grease on the big screen when I was only eleven. I didn't really understand it then but a couple years later I did and grew to love it, seen it so many times, I almost know it by heart.
Dirty Dancing, I saw that on the big screen too and when Patrick Swayze walked on screen for the first time I nearly died! He was sooooo hot in that movie!

Grease was better. The lines were funnier and I liked the actors better, especially Eve Arden and Dodie Goodman. Also, the dance contest in Grease is better.

DIrty Dnacing did have some great dancing but it's such a ..."girly" chick flick kinda thing. Therefore, I gotta go with Grease--it's more fun.

Funny, both are listed as my all time favorite movies...but I could watch Grease over and over and not get tired of it!

Possibly influenced by my grand-daughter being totally besotted with it! – though, as she is only 7 hasn't been privvy to "Dirty Dancing" yet.
