i download and install the battlfield 2142 demo, but when i select it it says that component "d3dx9_29.dll". what do i need to do to get it working?

Do you have directX 9 installed? If so, then your video card probably doesn't support the game.

well sorry, I don't know the specific answer. But i Can Guarantee you the answer is on their homepage. Just look in their forums, I'm sure this error has occurred to more than one person. Just paste the error onto the forums search tool and just scan for your answer. If all else fails, make an account, and then create a thread about your problem.
