Well the basis is there are 16 circles. Each line of 4 circles has to be equal to the other 7 lines, so each line must have the same number. EX. 34,,34,34,34,34,34 ..... You can only use numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16 (1-16) and use each number once. This is really hard, ive been trying for hours. So imagine a square, each line on the circles having 4 circles. The top horizontal has 4 new circles. Then the left vertical has one of the top horizontal circles and 3 new ones. The bottom horizontal has 3 new ones and 1 of the left vertical, etc. Then imagine that square, then twist it. So now there is a new square, with 4 new circles, on the middle of each line. There will be a total of 8 lines. I cant draw it here, unfortuantly.

I swear this is the most bizarre sounding word problem I've ever read, but... I have to say it sounds like you are describing a "magic square" with four sides. The numbers in all four rows, all four columns and the two diagonals all have to equal 34. If that sounds like what you're looking at, the answer is:

16 3 2 13
5 10 11 8
9 6 7 12
4 15 14 1

Of course, you can rotate the numbers any direction you like. I hope I understood it right and this is the problem you faced. If it is, Wikipedia has an article on magic squares you might find interesting or useful.

Your post was very cryptic, but I think you're talking about a magic square.
Example 4x4 magic square:
16 - 3 - 2 - 13
5 - 10 - 11 - 8
9 - 6 - 7 - 12
4 - 15 - 14 - 1
All rows and columns sum to 34

i couldnt even finish it reading it, because its so confusing.
i recommend you ask for help with a tutor who can explain the process... because you could get the an answer here but the objective is to learn to use the brain and understand
