If not, how can I get some of the water out of the reservoir without having to crawl under the car?

You can put either water or anti-freeze in the overflow but if you live somewhere that gets very hot or very cold you need to have anti-freeze in the radiator. The best way to get that done would be to take it somewhere that does radiator flushes and have them run a flush to get the water out and replace it with anti-freeze. That way you dont have to worry about overheating or freezing issues in extreme weather. Hope that helps. Good luck!!!

You should take this opportunity to flush out the radiator. Filling the reservoir will not get enough into the radiator to protect it from freezing. There is a drain or bolt under the radiator to let the water out to add the anti freeze. Unless you buy pre-mixed anti freeze, you should dilute it 50% with distilled water.

You could siphon some of the water out with tubing. to keep from going under the car.

Yes, you can.... by removing some water to make room so it won't overflow. But the problem is, there is no way for you to know the concentration. It needs to be (usually) from 45 to 55%. More is not better in this case.

Too much anti-freeze will make your car overheat. Too little will cause you to freeze up, and in extreme cases, either too much or too little will cause the boil-over. None what-so-ever will cause you to have rust in the system.

What kind of climate are you in? Mild or severe? Hot or Cold?

To remove water without crawling under, purchase a gadget called a "syphon" from automotive stores. They are less than 5 dollars. You can safely suck-out the excess fluid.

If it is just water, pull off the top hose(COLD) connected to the radiator.Use a bucket to catch what you can. turn car on a few seconds and the water will be shooting out the top hose. reconnect and refill radiator with antifreez 70%antifreeze max 50% ok and anything is better than nothing.
P.S. This can be done in high heels and without breaking a nail.

no. it is time to take off the dress, put on some jeans, and get dirty.
you have to take the bottom hose off or loosen the drain plug. these are both under the car. too much water and not enough aantifreeze will cause the engine to overheat and freeze.
call a neighbor to take care of this, or get dirty and do it yourself.

i own a repair shop, and if its got water in it,and its cold where your at its going to freeze and bust the engine in it,,you need to get that out of there, and real fast to,it needs a good mix of anti freeze in it,50-50 is a good mix,,if you just add it to the jug its not going to mix good, and your going to ruin your engine if it freezes,,,you may have to drain it all out until you can get a good mix in it,,but that's better than losing an engine,,but seriously don't put water in it,,,you,ll ruin the engine,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

It won't mix if you just put it into the reservoir. Sorry, but you're stuck crawling.

If you know exactly how much you added of coolant, add exactly the same in water, if you don't drain antifreeze by turning radiatior drain, and put correct 50/50 mix in vehicle.

simple way, go buy pre-mixed jugs(X3)(even though they cost 2$ more), open the cap below the raditor, let it empty, close it firmly, refill the tank slowly, till it gets near the cap, empty the plastic tank(if possble) and refill to max line close both those caps and be happy your car is still working
