No. Some people thought he was Jewish, but, his agent had to explain to people that he was not a Jew. Michael himself said that he was not a Jew, but, "......becuase I hang around a lot of Jewish people, I feel like I am a Jew myself." Seriously. This is what he said. Sad, isn't?

No , actually he is not of Jewish decent. I read that he likes to clam he is due to the fact that people in his life growing up happend to be jewish. Which kinda makes no sence, but this is from a guy who I always thought of being a little challenged in the mental depot.
