If you don't like it, don't drink it. Just stick with the yogurt instead. Not necessary. I guess you could make cornbread with the buttermilk but what would be the point? I don't like straight buttermilk either.
Bless your heart. I wish she would have given you the one pill (can't remember the name) that will cure your infection. When we take antibiotics, most of us female automatically get a yeast infection. Just get some Monistat and use it to make it go away. I used to get those things all the time when I was little.
Oops, I forgot you were pregnant. Forget the Monistat until you check with your doctor.
The buttermilk and yogurt were only suggested because they contain acidophilus which helps clear your system of forms of bacteria that try to enter. You still can leave off the buttermilk though. Just buy the yogurt and make sure it says it contains acidophilus.

Drinking the buttermilk is what you need. My sister loves drinking buttermilk when it is freshly bought from the store. Buy just a pint at a time and drink it. You might just find that you like it.

Buttermilk is gross. You'd probably have better luck doucheing with it.
I've heard that an apple-cider vinegar and water douche works.

Make buttermilk pancakes. You can look up some good recipes for buttermilk biscuits. You can also make buttermilk batter for deep frying.

Buttermilk is used in cooking, like dipping fish or meats in the milk and then in flour. Then you fry, its nice and crispy.

Will it still be effective if you cook with it? You could always make pancakes.
