Whether you believe or not there are ghosts.Theory of Ghost is this.Man is a soul having body. The soul is permanent and body temporary. The soul undertakes journey through time accepting different body.Body dies but soul continues its journey. Each body there is a precribed period for which the soul is trapped inside the body.Unless your soul complete the prescribed period it cannot go free. Example. The life span precribed for one particular person is 75,but he is kiied in accident at 55.The soul cannot continue its journey for remaining 20 years and the "spirit" has no abode and has to wander. At this stage it is called Ghost.Ghost can deal with you only through a medium.

We, humans are NOT alone in this universe. There are other creatures like Jinnies who are made of fire and live away from humans. However, when human beings have encounters with them, majority of human beings think of them as ghosts of other human beings, which is not true. No human spirit can remain on earth as popularly filmed by hollywood. They are just Jinns, Jinnies or whatever you can call. As Muslims, whenever we encounter such Jinn, we recite Ayat ul Kursi and Jinn go away from that place where we are.

Because something is inexplainable it doesn't make it a ghost.
Anything is possible, but untill a ghost smacks my face or kisses my **** I don'tbelieve.
If ghost exist , the most accepted scientific answer is a convergence of time lines.

There are spirits all around us. Watching us, guiding us. Loved ones who have passed over. They stay here because we are not ready to let them go, so they comfort us.
There comes a moment when the crying stops and you smile because you remember the happier times you spent with that person, that's when they leave, they have done their job and you are now strong enough to cope without them. It could take weeks, months or years. But they won't leave you until you are ready to let them go.

There is no empirical support for any " theory of ghosts", so the no ghosts position is the only one feasible.

I believe that "ghosts" are just small electromagnetic fluxuations in the air that are abnormally cold and there is enough energy to bump into things and make them rattle or shake. I do believe in angels, though.

No. I believe it's the belief in these things that allows our imaginations to run wild and make "spooks" or "hauntings" an easy way of explaining everything we can't or don't want to rationally explain or solve. And let's face it, it's just plain fun, everyone likes something science can't squeeze into a testube and analyze.

i believe in ghosts, and have had a couple encounters with them myself. this first story can not make sense any other way (for the non believers).
ok, story one. happened in arlington texas. i was about 8-9 years old, in the livingroom watching a scary movie, with the lights on. i had a 3-way touch lamp right next to me on the end table next to the sofa. i had it on level two. and i would understand if there was a short or something, but HOW could it go to level 3 then off. i turned it back on, and a couple minutes it did it again. i ran and started screaming to my mom. she said it was prolly just a ghost and to let it be. well of course i couldnt. so i went back out to the living room and said outloud, to no one, to the ghost, 'i dont believe in ghosts. prove yourself, and i will believe. since you like the light, turn it to (and i would pick random levels, 1 - really dim, 2 - a lil brighter, 3 - the brightest, or off.) and everytime i said a level, it went there... 2.... 1..... off.... 3.... 1... etc. the ghost never brought harm into my home, so i let him/her be. just every now and then i would ask it to turn on the light for me.. lol
then, story 2.
i lived in fort leavenworth, kansas, at the time and my best friends dads best friend (does that make sense?) recently lost his wife. her dad is the one who told me this story, and i had met the guy once. both were in the military. well, she liked things kept in their place. especially the living room. he always wanted to re-arrange, but she never liked the idea. well, after she had passed, he arranged the living room the way hed wanted to. that night he went to bed, and woke up the next morning to the living room being just the way it was when she died. and i dont really remember what was said, but they had a little girl (who my friend babysat, and i went with once, and met him) and she had the little alphabet fridge magnets, and they spelled something out. i dont remember what it said, but it was a tear jerker. and the little girl wasnt tall enough to reach where it was placed...
with personal encounters like that, youd believe too!!
