It's up to you, and what you feel comfortable with. I mean, if the idea of him kissing you makes you smile, go for it. Your age is about the norm for a first kiss.
If the idea of him kissing you throws you into a fit of paralysis, then no, I don't think that it would be a great idea. Don't do something that you're not ready for.
Oh, and don't give your kisses away too easily... It takes away from their meaning. :)

do you like him? does he like you? You don;t want to ruien your first kiss! what if he asked you out cause you were younger and he knew he had a better chance of a younger girl?( no offense) tell him to wait and when the time comes you will kiss him ! good luck

1st, to the people who say 12 is to young, i know people who had an actual BOYFRIEND who they KISSED in the 2nd grade. things are different now. if you like him, then sure, its fine, if you feel alright kissing him than you can. if you arent positive, if he goes to kiss you just turn your head so he kisses ur cheek.

if you let him,let him kiss you on the cheek, pecks are harmless
and meaningless, they dont last long and arent as uncomfortable, they soon fade once you actually kiss kiss a guy.

As long as you don't think his only intentions are to get you in his pants (which I doubt at that age) then sure!
Instead of just telling him yes though, why not surprise him by making the move when he leasts suspects it ; ).
