Everyone, Everywhere pumps it into our children that Christmas is about :
trees
toys
lights
and all that other bull sh it that people have made it out to be.
It seems to be nothing more than a money maker anymore.
In my home we barely talk about "Santa Claus"
Yes, we have a tree and lights, all that pagan stuff
But we also have a manger, Jesus and a bible.
I read the Birth of Jesus "Christmas" story to my kid on Christmas Eve. THAT is our tradition. One I have with my family.
When I was a child Christmas eve was about being able to open one present.
I love my Family, not saying they did anything wrong.
But I choose to make it more about Jesus than presents, and all that commercial stuff.
You do your best to make Christmas what you want it to be about, and hopefully it will catch on,or at least carry on.
God Bless you and have a Merry Christmas!

Fact: 90% of Americans believe in God and 10% are Atheists. The 10% are winning the war.
Fact: ACLU are Athiests
Fact: Politically Correctness...people are afraid of alienating or offending other religions and its only a matter of money. Its now politically correct to say Happy Holidays.
Fact: People are afraid of being sued by the ACLU.
Fact: Liberal Judges are making laws instead of interpreting the constitution as it was written.... based on Christian beliefs.
Fact: The 90% who believe, will soon rise up against the opposition. Wal Mart has already relented and went back to Merry Christmas. Other stores are following thier lead.
I for one, will continue to say Merry Christmas, and i dont give a ?#$& who i offend.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Years.

Christmas is and always be about Jesus. It is only that so many outspoken people have decided that they want no part of him and since He is Loving and Kind (and a perfect Gentleman), He doesn't insist that they do it His Way and so, simply waits for those who will trust Him. You may rest assured that His Joy awaits those who do come to know Him -- and that's for sure.
I do hope that you have a joyous Christmas and that you come to know Him as I have.

it seems like it is all about spending money and buying gifts and stressing if you forgot anyone, or if someone got you something and you didn't get them anything, then you feel bad.
HINT: I never pay for Christmas with a credit card. We use cash, cash, cash. If we only have $2,500.00 cash, that is all we spend.

I don't see how people get offended by "Merry Christmas" when fat guys and reindeer have nothing to do with Jesus.

ideally it still is
if its about peace and good will to mankind and all creation i guess it still is
if its about presents and not presence with those you love it perhaps isnt
spirit notices two days that goodwill flows from earth into the spiritual realm ,mostly it draws down from the heavens ,one of these days is christmass ,thus as long as its about love all is fine
jesus is love in deed and will ,as long as we love all will be fine,as many respondants have noted christ wasnt actually born on this day ,but it s not the day but our love that is noted
good will to all men and woman as children of the one god ,whos heir was designated deemed on this day to be borne to all gods children
peace and love may christs presence be with you all
