My mother -- my siblings and I buried our parents as very young adults, and we had to either make it on our own or die ... and we DID make it through life -- got our UGrad and Grad Degrees, have all had long, distinguished, and honorable Military Careers, and have entered other careers -- own our own homes, and ....
For now over a quarter century --- we STILL miss having our parents (and especially our mother) around -- because they would have been really pleased to see us earn through Hard Work what we have and how we turned out.

Yes, my friend Joanne. She has been gone about 3 years now. She succumbed to cancer, which she battled over and over for several years. I think of her quite often & miss her terribly.

I miss both my grandmother, and my grandfather. They were always glad to see me, and so excited when I'd call them. I was always smiling and happy whenever I visited them.
