This is research I am doing for a chemistry project. I am looking for the actual conversion process.

They have gills which have a very good blood supply. The water passes over them and oxygen is absorbed. I'm not aware of a conversion process, I always thought it was a partial pressure gradient.

Gills. The exchange of gases occur through osmosis. water passes through the gills where the O2 in the water goes in the the fish's lungs and the CO2 from the lungs goes out through the water.
