When looking at a good chart and graph people can gather more information from looking at it and analyzing than from reading a long paragraph or two about the outcomes of a certain project, survey or experiment. It's an easier way to organize and read data.

Use of graphics to present statistic information makes a quicker and more memorable impact than stating dry statistical figures.

People remember longer and comprehend better the information they see or read compared to what they hear...you never know if they are listen also.

Statistical information presented in colorful illustration catches and draws attention to the information you are presenting.

Illustrations, graphs and charts allow your audience to ask specific questions by referring to the information on the charts...much easier than repeating the numbers they heard and may have written down...increasing the flow and exchange of information and ideas.

Finally...most people remain attentive in presentations when charts and graphs accompany the oral presentation you give. They are less likely to day dream while they stare directly in your general direction.

OK, there are a few ways why the illustration of statistical date is effective.

Hope this helps.
