your nationality is vietnamese, but your ethnicity is french/cambodian.
I'm a Japanese-American, which means, my ethnicity is Japanese, but my nationality is American.

Well thats a difficult question but here it goes; 1- legally speaking you are wherever you reside. For ex. if you live in the U.S. then you are American. If two asians went to france and had a kid then that means he is french, but not of french descent. 2 - ethnically speaking it sounds like you are are half french and half cambodian. If you have more of one than the other then you could consider yourself "asian" or "european". I would say if asked that you are a "(insert residence here)" of euro-asian descent. I think that the best thing to do if to factor in your looks and classify yourself as you see fit. After all, it's whats important to you that really matters.

Your race is French Cambodian, and you are not Vietnamese just because you can speak that language fluently.
It has nothing to do with your nationality, birth place or ability to speak foreign languages. It's your ancestors' ethnicity that are used to determine your race.
I am Asian living in Canada. My nationality is Canadian but I am of Asian race. I only learn to speak English just because I live in Ontario, not Quebec. I know a little Mandarin because I used to work for a Chinese employer. And I am thinking of learning Italian since I think the guys are sexy :):)
Sorry for the little details but I think now you can see the difference between nationality and ethnicity. Gosh you must be one heck of heart breaker!

well, you wouldnt be half french cambodian and vietnamese, because that adds up to 1 1/2,,,, all of you is only 1... you would be a percentage of each one,,,,,, you would only be half if each of your parents was full bloodied of something,,, and also,,,,, race doesnt go by where you are born,,,,,, and your culture or ethnicity is what you are raised as/whats around you,,,,,,race is genetics,,,,,, while you are part the things you list,, you also could be more,,,,, as in what other lines are in each side of the family,,,,,,,,you really, in this situation, can pick which you identify with more,,,,,or call yourself euroasian,,, you also can identify with your place of birth, vietnam,,, which can be your nationality,,,,,so you are really dealing with all three things, genetics you inherited,,, culture you grew up in,,,,,,or nationality(place you were born),,,,

Human Race
You get to pick whichever race you identify the most with.
If I was checking a box on a form, I would pick Asian because you were born in South Vietnam..

I would consider you at least half Asian, your father is Cambodian and you didn't say what your mother's race was.
Being born somewhere doesn't have anything to do with race. Race comes from your parents, citizenship comes from where you were born, or where you currently live.

There are two answers.
1. It depends upon your appearance. If you look oriental, then this is how you will be treated.
2. You can chose from the options you presented.
A genetic test, one day, will either confirm this of refute it.
But basically, if you look like one race, everyone will respond to you are if you were, and anything you do against this is going to be an up-hill struggle. Sorry.

one third french, one third cam, and the final third Viet, So that means 2 thirds asian and a third french. Sort of like American men who had children with asian women. the kids are called Amer-asian. Or black and asian is a blasian. I beleive you'd be called a "Frasian" But you live in Europe or your a Euro-asian.

welcome to the human race ,
officially countries do not designate you to be one race or the other ,it designates your country of origin , more specificlly your mothers mother ,along the femail line would ber the surest way to trace your ancestry, mothers are baring human error one hundred percent trur thus the country iof your unquestionable designation could appear to be french,
the french people come from many decendant races because of colonisation of many countries ,there it depends where your mothers mothers mother etc came from
if children got thier mothers name at birth instead of the name changing wars and invasions have nessesitated to hide the fact the males get killed in war and the femails have to change thier historic ancestral names to hide the invasion we would have known eves first name ,known for a surity who our matriarc was ,is and allways be ,but heaven knows these things but its not really a race thing either
its just men deluding woman ,
war is hell
