neither - shorties are the best - comfortable, sexy and leaves something to the imagination (always sexier than bare-all) also look much nicer than a bit of elastic strangling your backside!!

In the picture, I'd guess that is a thong. But normally, I would prefer women to wear panties. Panties reveal some, but still leave some for suprise.

Are you asking what is sexier or what women actually wear? For me it really depends on the woman. If she's got a great butt that is firm or muscular a thong looks great. If her butt is saggy a thong looks horrible. Panties are a safer bet for most women.

I love a pair of fullback satin or nylon panties on a sexy gal! It just makes it more sexy to have a nice *** covered up. Thongs aren't bad just are too revealing, not that that is a bad thing! But definitely panties!
