After reading a question, do you answer it or read the answers first?

Depends on the question. If it's one that everyone probably knows, I scan the answers so I don't waste my time typing in the same crap they did. Otherwise, I wing it and hope for the best.

Depends on the question and how many responses have been posted already; normally if it is a serious question, I review the other users comments to see if there's anything I could possibly add that hasn't been said- otherwise I don't answer. If it's comical, I'll try to put some wit in it and still peruse others, however that amazes me too because people are so fast here... and slick, a question gets posted and you see that 3 answers are there and then after you post yours, 20 odd answers have been posted- who's that fast of a typist that it must be said and in a hurry.

Sometimes I will go into the questions just to read the answers.

It depends what the question was, I don't like to give the same
answer as others, sometimes I read others first and sometimes
not.

I usually answer the question first then after I submit it, I read the other answers.

Sometimes I just dash off an answer, like this time, sometimes I read the other answers, so I won't be the 10th person to give the same answer. If it's pretty much covered, I simply move on...

I read the question and answer it in my own way first. I will not be biased in any way reading them or not, so you get the true gist of my answer and opinion, not some fabricated bunch of crap that I wanted to place because someone else did.

you can see this in many of my answers because they differ so much from many of the others. I am not afraid to tel you the way I see it, and that's just who I am, in person too.

sometimes, i read the answers first, other times I just put the first thing that comes to mind & hope no one else answered the same thing I answered.

I answer first, then i look at the other answers. It has put me in uncomfortable positions because sometimes after i answer i see that someone has given a better answer than me. But, i am not gonna change.I like it this way.
