I want to get my girls bunkbeds and I like what I see at IKEA. However I have gotten mixed reviews when it comes to purchasing their furniture. Can I purchase the mattresses elsewhere along with sheets or will I be limited to IKEA's mattresses, sheets etc? I was told by someone that she thought because of the international sizing I couldn't just go anyplace else and purchase sheets that fit if I bought their bed.

Any suggestions?

I have bought bunk beds from IKEA. They're great, I've had them for 10 years now, with two people sleeping in them every night, and I haven't had any problem with them whatsoever. I bought my matresses and sheets elsewhere as well; you're definetly not confined to buying them at IKEA. They've been great and I would definetly recommend buying them there, they're inexpensive and good quality. Hope I helped, and good luck with your bunkbed hunt!

My advice is to buy IKEA only if you are "handy" with tools.

Otherwise, just be like me and go for their yummy cafeteria food....LOL
