cuz If that's the only reason you can't appreciate USC football you need to get your head checked. Jealousy is a female trait so I expect all these haters to be ladies otherwise go have your ballz removed.
Success breeds envy. USC fans should be proud of the fact that haters around the nation gather, gossip, bad mouth their Trojans and kneel down every week to pray for them to lose to whoever they play against.

i like usc but they suck thos year look at the flip side they dont have reggie bush no more which means no runing game and they lost one of their best offensive lineman

It's easy if you just read the previous answers. It's not the program that most people hate, it's the system. ND and USC are given high rankings every year regardless of their strength. Therefore they get better recruiting classes, and more prestige. It's the antithesis of the NFL, the better the team the higher the draft pick so to speak. Most people also do not like the arrogance that USC fans display. Just read the other answers boasting of USCs exploits. EVERYBODY dislikes OTHER people who are arrogant. Also, many people, such as yourself, look down on fans of all other teams. I guess I lose any shot of getting a best answer by saying this, but it is people such as yourself that make people dislike USC.

No, I think that people do not like USC because they are only highly rated because they play, and "go to school" mwahahahaha, in big L.A.
Put USC in the SEC, or the Big-12 conference, and they are no better than 7-4, any year. But since they play powerhouses like Arizona and Cal each year, they pack on the wins. Well, so would Gonzaga football, in that conference.
Realistically, USC is the big dog in a poor conference, and only rated as high as they are because of the locale.
Now, 'nuff said. and it's solid.

there are good fans...and there are bad fans.
although i have seen both, i have seen more bad fans than good. usually, the haters, clowners come from schools other than USC.
don't get me wrong, there are bad USC fans (but not nearly as many as bad michigan, florida, texas and notre dame fans)
you're right, it's probably jealousy - not school pride
the guy below me is an example of a bad fan (but he's from ucla). he obviously doesn't understand what 'success' is because he failed to mention that the bruins can't match USC when it comes to:
1. 11 national championships
2. 7 heisman trophy winners
3. 5 straight Pac-10 championships

the majority of people do no like the favortism USC recieves. Even with a win against UCLA, you mean to tell me USC is more deserving than Florida and Michigan? Not by a longshot. Had they won, they'd be in. That's why people dislike them. Same goes for Notre Dame. They are the favorites for some reason. Only SC and ND fans think the system is fair. Go figure. I like it fair, call me crazy.

I am a Wolverine fan. I have respect for the USC team. They are a bunch of talented young athletes. I think most of the haters are Notre Dame fans and just hate them because of the rivalry. I don't know. Some haters I bet are really jealous.
