As our government loses interest in the people it governs over, I lose faith that I can instigate change. The one power I have to voice my concern is voting, but I have not been granted that right thus far. I can only sit and watch as the world goes down the drain. Those who can vote have only lies to base their vote upon. The fate of the next generation is in the hands of mislead voters. Apathy is not a solution; it is a way of avoiding the problem. I worry that if everyone avoids the problems there will be no one left to solve them. It is time for everyone to stop passing the blame and accept reality.

Good Final sentence?

'Kay, first of all, rules of grammar would dictate that you phrase it "over which it governs", as well as "on which to base their votes." Additionally, you do not seem to have a main point, but seem to jump around, vaguely insinuating several main topics, but never really committing. You are also making statements without backing them up with facts, in effect becoming the type of information monger that you simultaneously scorn. I guess a good last sentence in this case would be something that summarizes all of the points you sort of made...or you could just say something like, "And so that is why I spend most of my time on the Internet."

It sounds like its perswasive, but I`m not sure what you want. A good ending sentance might be "Thats why____" But only if its perswasive.
