With Patience. Just some light sparkle eyeshadow to give you some flare, mascara, and some gloss and your good to go! Play around with your makeup. practice make's perfect and you should invest in some make-up remover.

The point of makeup is to look like a nicer you, not someone else. So make sure to use light makeup. Unless you have blotchy or acned skin, you won't need foundation. A light, translucent powder should do.

When it comes to eyeshadow, use light colors and go for a brown pencil liner (only use black if you have dark skin). Pencil liner takes a while to get good at applying, but with brown, its not as hard and even if you draw the line too big, it won't look so bad and you can always 'smudge' the line so that you get a smokey look.

The two most important things a girl should always wear is a good mascara and lip gloss. My favorite mascara is by MAC and its pretty inexpensive. My favorite brand lip gloss is by Sugar and it actually tastes like sugar!

Blush is not very necessary (especially if you are an active person), but if you must, try a light bronzer instead...

I hope I am not forgetting anything... I think you just need to keep somethings in mind... 1. Don't wear too much makeup, it looks silly, especially if you are not good at wearing it. 2. Only acentuate one feature, your eyes or your lips. I think you should always go for the eyes and just wear a light gloss. Dark lipstick doesn't look too good, especially on younger women. 3. Go for colors that look good on you. Don't wear something because all your friends do or because 'blue is your favorite color'. Stick with what looks nice. You might want to ask a make up artist what she recommends for your skin tone. One thing I've always read: pink looks good on everyone.

Good Luck!

Here's how I would do it:

1. Buy one of those eyeshadow packs with 3 different shades. Brush the lightest shade above the browbone (under the eyebrows), put the medium shade along the crease of your eyelid and the darkest shade just above the lashline.

2. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler, if you'd like. Slowly brush mascara on, rolling the brush wiggling it side to side (this prevents clumps).

3. Put the lipstick or gloss on your bottom lip, then smack your lips, and then fill in the rest of your upper lip.

I hope I helped!

for a natural look, use browns for eyeshadow...buy an eyeshadow that comes in 3 co-ordinated shades (u should have a light color, a medium color, and a dark color.)....first apply powder to eyelid to to prep 4 the eyeshadow...then apply the medium shadow all over your lid, and the darkest shade at the end of the lid, and the lightest should go onto your brow bone and if u want in the inner corners of your eyes.

How you put on makeup is as important as the makeup itself. The first step is to find the right shade of foundation. Since most women, regardless of skin color, have yellow based skin, they must wear a foundation with a yellow base. Sacha manufactures to only line of yellow-based foundations on the market. Read testimonials.

After you put on your foundation you need to follow with a yellow based face powder to get that sophisticated matte look. Face powders are an essential step in your makeup routine. They are available in either compact or loose form.

It is important to set your foundation with a loose powder. This helps to keep your foundation in place. Compact powders should be used for touch ups.

Sacha's Translucent Powders are light in texture providing a sheer, natural finish. They are lightly tinted and work best with Sacha's yellow-based foundations.

The basic idea is, if you use a translucent powder over your foundation or concealer, it will set your makeup without adding too much extra color.
TIP:For warmer climates or in the summer, take special care to set your foundation with a loose powder, as heat tends to create slipping or running of your foundation. This is especially so in the case of cream foundation as they tend to have a higher oil content.

If you have extra oily skin, use our Ultra-Matte Translucent Powders in Light, Medium or Dark shades. These powders were first developed for the Miss Universe Pageant 1999 to keep the delegates shine free during long days of shooting. They are sheer and contain loads of oil natural absorbers.

Complexion powders on the other hand, have a greater degree of color and because they are more opaque, be used alone. They can also be used with your foundation to set, adjust or enhance. Put on makeup in this way and your face will look flawless and natural-looking.

Some women wear foundations that are too pink and try to neutralize the redness by finishing with one of our yellow-based powders. We strongly advise against this since this will result in the color of your makeup turning orange. Remember red plus yellow equals orange!

First cleanse, tone,& moisturize your face. Next apply your fundation and blend. next, dust your face with powder. Next, smile and put blush on the apples of your cheeks. Then lipgloss.

My advise is to start off using a little bit of make-up, don't go to color right away. Start of using natural beiges colors. When you get used to the natural stuff go to color.

You can go to www.marykay.com/kaylexasmom and there is a whole section on application tips. You can also browse the products and request samples at kaylexasmom@marykay.com.

For Wide-Set Eyes: Eyes that are more than one eye
width apart.
1. Highlighter Shade: Apply to browbone.
2. Midtone Shade: Starting from the outer corner of the crease, bring the color toward the inside corner of the eye. Deepen the color on the inside corners and lid to help the eyes appear closer together.
3. Accent Shade: Starting slightly in from the outer corner, brush color across the upper lashline and into the crease of the eye. Also sweep it underneath the lower lashline, being careful not to extend it beyond the outer edge of the eye.

For Close-Set Eyes: Eyes that are less than one eye
width apart.
1. Highlighter Shade: Apply to browbone and lid. Apply
the highlighter shade to the inside corners of the eye to help the eyes appear farther apart.
2. Midtone Shade: Starting at the outer corner of the crease, bring the color toward the inside corner to the brow but not all the way over to the nose. Use the midtone shade to bridge the highlighter and accent shades along lower lashline.
3. Accent Shade: Sweep it across the base of the upper lashline and up into the outer area of the crease. Sweep it underneath the lower lashline for definition, except for the inside corners.

For Deep-Set Eyes: Eyes that are set deep, making the
browbone appear more noticeable.
1. Highlighter Shade: Apply to the eyelid and along the
inner corner of lower lashes and to browbone.
2. Midtone Shade: Bring the color up above the crease and sweep it across the browbone.
3. Accent Shade: Apply to the outer corner of the upper lashline, then up onto the corner of the browbone. Sweep the accent shade underneath the lower lashline for definition.

For Hooded Eyes: Eyes that are set so the natural crease
in the eyelid is not readily seen.
1. Highlighter Shade: Apply to browbone and along the
upper lashline and inner corner of lower lashes.
2. Midtone Shade: Apply color from the base of the upper lashline and over the entire hooded area to help the lid appear to recede. Blend.
3. Accent Shade: Apply from the base of the lashline and over the entire hooded area to help it appear to recede and blend. Sweep the accent color underneath the lower lashes to define. Hooded eyes really benefit from a well-defined lashline — upper and lower.

For Standard Eyes: Eyes that are set about one
eye width apart.
1. Highlighter Shade: Apply under browbone.
2. Midtone Shade: Apply over the entire eyelid.
3. Accent Shade: Apply in the crease of the eye.

Hope this helps.
