Does anyone know why they stopped making the "hershy" tins? I had been collecting them for a few years,,,then I couldnt find any last year and none this year either,,,ohh sure they have the "gift" baskit tins,,,but not the collector tins??

Maybe to make the other ones more valuable?

I think it's because companies don't care anymore. I have a similar problem with Premium saltine crackers. Would love to fine the tin, but Nabisco stopped making them. When I wrote to ask why, they gave me some standard b.s. thanks for writing letter.

The cost of the "tin" adds to the freight costs. So I imagine they looked for and found a suitable replacement to save money.

I don't know these people might be right, I thought it was because toddlers would sometimes eat the thing whole, tin and all.

They weren't making enough of a profit for the amount they cost to make- so they got rid of them.
