other than the education of course, what other qualifications do u think a teacher should possess?

Patience, Humour, Kindness, and a backbone to stand up to the pressure and not cave into students, parents or administrators when they want you to give in.

You need a Bachelor's Degree (4-degree)in a specific subject to teach high school and you need the required education courses for your state. You will also have to do some type of student teaching for 4-5 months in most states. Elementary requires a 4-year degree in the specific type of education---Early Childhood, etc. It would definitely be worth it if you are truly passionate about learning, passing on knowledge, and exercising patience.

You should enjoy what you do. Most teachers quit before 5 years. The reason is because they dont knowowhat to expect and they are unable to handle classroom management. The best tool a teacher can have is good classroom management. Go in with a plan and stuick to it. Good luck

The passion to want to share (themselves and a subject)

The understanding that money is not what moves them to teach it is the passion to help the student move forward
