NO, NOT AT ALL! I WORK IN A CHILD CARE CENTER AND WHEN WE PUT THEM ON THE BABIES BEFORE THEY DO WATER PLAY, OUR FLOOR GETS WET! THEY DO NOT ABSORB THE WATER AND THEREFORE DO NOT ABSORB MUCH, IF ANY URINE.

They do not work as well as regular diapers, but if you need one in a pinch at home, they are ok for emergency diapers. One urination or poop episode though and you could be in trouble, so you have to keep an eye on the child. I would also recommend not putting pants on the child if you decide to use one of these as emergency diapers, as it could get messy quickly and pants usually get in the way in that case. My best suggestion: Try to always have at least one back up diaper put away in your stuff so you can use it for emergency and then run to the store for more. Little Swimmers and others like them are intended only for swimming and in my opinion they are not very great at that. If the child goes potty in it it usually leaks out into the pool, ruining it for everyone. Good Luck

NO!!!, lol, just from experience I brought my daughter swimming and didn't bring any regular diapers to put on her after, so I just put on a new swimmer and went to the store...big mistake, I question weather they work at all, if they didn't work dry I don't see how they would work wet

OK this is for all those who are saying NO. If they don't work out of the water what makes them work when they are in the water?? To answer your question. I'd say yes they work in a pinch. Just make sure they fit!

No. One time I was taking my little one to swim class and to make things go a little faster, I put him in his swim diaper before I got him to class. In the 15 minutes it took to get him to the class, he had already soaked the outfit he was wearing.

No they leak. They are only made to keep poop from getting in the pool. Trust me I learned the hard way. Use regular dipers.

They don't absorb at all. I won't even let my kid wear one riding in the car to and from the pool. They are just a barrier, with almost no absorbtion.

They are harder to take off, especially if the baby makes #2.
