Deal with it. You don't want to deal with a replaced joint @ 26 y.o. Remember most ppl who get joint replacements are near the end of life anyway and they figure that into the equation. If you get a joint replacement, you may have to take anti-rejection drugs for the rest of your life and the joint may wear out after a few decades and then you'll need another one. I would say hold out and in ten or 20 years, they'll have a way to fix the bone structure you have now, probably even re-grow it. Remember the dems are going to make a big push on stem cell re-search now, could lead to the tech that will re-grow the damaged areas of your shoulder. Just hang in there and remember that you could have been hurt a lot worse.

a shoulder replacement is much trickier and less well developed than a hip or knee surgery. Therefore you should speak with a PT or an orthopedic physician about things you can do or meds you can take but a replacement is a drastic measure that should not be done unless all other options have been tried and exhausted. Additionally, the life of implants for hips and knees are 10-20 years, if you are lucky. This translates into about 4-6 replacements in your lifetime....multiply that by about $40,000...not good. Finally, most shoulder replacements will inhibit movement due to the fact that it is still being worked on and so you would probably still have limitations.
therefore I'd suggest speaking with a physical therapist or orthopedic specialist to see what you can do without replacement.
good luck

At you age, having your shoulder rotator cuff replaced is not a good idea. Those things have a shelf life :-} and you would have to have another one in a few years. Have you been to see an Orthopedic Surgeon, one that specializes in shoulder repair/replacement. If not, that is who you have to go see. You may also have to have some physical therapy to get your shoulder moving properly again. Having a shoulder joint replacement should be a last resort thing, especially at your age.

I had knee surgery and believe me, not only is joint replacement very painful, but it is also very impractical at your age. If you were to do that now (and no surgeon would advise you to unless absolutely necessary), you would need to have it done again after a number of years. So unless you like pain and therapy, use caution when you're straining your shoulder and work out as much as possible.

OCS would be troublesome. i'm particularly confident it relatively is greater extreme considering you would be experienced to be in value of an excellent style of people. 26 isn't previous as long as you're in stable shape and can handle the actual and psychological tension that they are going to place you thru. There are going to be people of each age dealing with coaching with you, relatively once you're doing OCS. think of approximately it, you may have a level to be an officer. I doubt there are any 18 twelve months olds doing it. i do no longer probable comprehend plenty related to the Marines, yet i comprehend that interior the army the PT standards conflict with the aid of age and gender, enlisted and officers have the comparable scale. they could anticipate greater from you nonetheless, considering you would be in value. i think of the Marines run 3 miles as area of their PT attempt, yet i do no longer comprehend all of the factors. You an in lots of circumstances discover the counsel online. purely submit to in innovations that the Marines is going to be the main bodily demanding.
