No I expect you have real friends. Sometimes, when we are let down by our friends, or when we expect too much of them, we do feel quite hopeless, and wonder whether we have been wasting our time being with them. Perhaps it is our own fault, we should never expect more than we can give, so we shouldn`t be surprised if they feel the same. With some friends, it is good to have time away from them, with others, it is okay just to be to-gether in silence. At these times they aren`t empty shells, they are real friends filling the empty hours with you, so that you do not sit in an empty space alone,

Wow, this is kind of deep for so early in the evening. I think only you can tell if your friends are so much flotsam and jetsam. I happen to believe that friends actually validate my existence. You have to realize that in your entire life you may only have 4 or 5 really true friends. Some get lucky and have more, lots have fewer. So count yourself lucky if you have friends you can rely on, if not... screw it.

I couldn't say how real your friends are, but I know I have got some real friends, without whom I would have found it really hard to keep going at certain points in my life.
I'm sure there are lots of people out there like me, and although you don't have many, there are always one or two good friends who see you through.

everyone has a motive to be close to ye. a motive of sharing things. a motive of knowing each other. sometims friends r just here to add salt to wounds, to take advantage of ya weaknesses. sometimes friends fill spaces but sometimes its better 2 have enemies rather than friends. somtimes its better 2 leave 1 emty space rather than fill it with hatred from friends....

you asked a very good question. basically, REAL friends are hard to find but they are there awaiting you. if you can't find them, they will find you. the one who has money is not rich, the one who has friends is rich (a popular saying of Muslims' Caliph Ali (ra)) another thing, a friend in need is a friend indeed. and lastly, my own thing, i really blame myself for NOT being with my friends so often as I should be due to my own shy nature. i really wish i was with them before i die.

Ask each of your possible or potential "real" friends that question. When you are done, you may know the answer.

Are you a "real" friend to any of them?

Is there a hole in your pocket, or is there just a pocket around that hole?

Prolly. A real friend will be there not when its convenient.

So, I guess you know the truth.

Yes, that is all that is left.

Nothing More.

can you picture yourself without them? if so then yes.
you probably dont need them but they are a good comodity to have so keep them but on your terms.
or get some new friends that have a bit of depth instead of ones that agree with you when you bring up deep subjects.
