Gamecube games?

Question

I was thinking about getting a video game for my cousins for Christmas. They're boys, one 13, and one 11. They have a Gamecube. I've never been a Gamecube fan. Anyone have any suggestions? Looking for something that would be fun for both, either coop or competitive. Definitely two players though.

The sims 2(about 39 dollars) is the best on game cube! and also the following:
1.Kirby air ride($20)
2.super monkey balls games (some from $20 to $30)
3.Animal crossing($20)
4. and anything with mario

Super Smash Bros. Melee is THE must have game for Gamecube. It is a cartoon fighting game where you can play as one of about twenty different Nintendo charecters. Fantastic game. It has always been one of the top selling games for Nintendo and makes xbox and playstation owners wish they had a Gamecube.

Mario Kart is an excellent racing game where you can play two players on one kart. You can switch being driver and passenger at any time and when you are the passenger you throw items at other racers (banana peels, etc.). Excellent two player game - lots of fun!

Sims might be a bit mature for the 11 year old especially. One of your goals is to "make wohoo" - yes, have sex. Its all censored and blurred of course, but still kind of mature subject matter.

The Monkey Ball games are cool also, but if you wanted to buy two games, I would definitely suggest Smash Bros. and Mario Kart.

Tales of symphonia is a really good game if they are into role-playing games. Features long and good storyline with multiple sidequests and an easy to use battle system. Really fun. I logged in over 300 hours in 4 months. You can fight cooperatively, but you can't fight each other. Super smash brother's melee is like the best multiplayer game on gamecube. Get both. They're cheap now. And you should get a Wii.
