ankles is fine as long as it's not over the knee, because form experience, that is uncomfortable. We have something girls don't that can get...squished. The appearance coupled with the face of anguish makes it very unmasculine.
Ankles is ok though.

At the knees- yes- I hate that! But not at the ankles- that's ok!
