I have taken a look at the seller & the listing. This seller has obviously got a job lot of hard drives. He/she specialises in selling hard drives with the same description ie untested...look at his feedback..eg a buyer called og90125 who said that he got what he paid for ..a paperweight..another said the drive was a piece of scrap. ..& so on & so on.
Most of these drives are duff drives ..believe me, using the word "untested" is to cover the fact that they will more than likely be duff drives..they are too cheap. You should be paying £15 - £20 at auction & just a bit more if it's "Buy it Now" for a good working 20GB drive.
Please don't buy it unless you are a gambling man & are willing to lose the money..because the odds are very much against you getting a good drive...the remarks from buyers about receiving duff hard drives in his feedback says it all.

PS....The drive spec is ok to work with your laptop infact any 20GB ATA/IDE 2.5 inch hard drive will be ok for your laptop.

Should work in your laptop if indeed the drive is in working order.

As the above answer says beware. Try and buy from sellers who state working order. Some dodgy eBay sellers try to cover themselves by saying untested. The question you want to ask yourself is how can they not test it. Does this guy sell a lot of computer stuff. If so then he probably has the ability to test it.

It's really up to you if you want to take the chance. The bottom line is if it's sold as untested you have no right to a refund.

yeah it should work for your laptop, but before going through with purchasing it, I would ask some questions as far as the person's return policy if the drive doesn't work. It was pulled from a laptop that didn't power on, which could be a variety of reasons as to why it didn't power on, and the hard drive could be on of those reasons... not to mention, it's untested, so you may buy it, get it home, and it not work.

so I say definitely ask some questions and see what he has to say, then make your call on whether it's worth buying or not

ought to correctly have issues... there must be a different identifier for each motherboard the BIOS must be diverse for the two motherboards bill Gates has probably already coated this one! I save a folder for archives and a folder for courses to place in. no longer the certainly Cpersistent yet a folder that incorporates the zip documents and exes which will could be reinstalled could all of it go incorrect. No each application can go in this folder. in specific circumstances I could consumer an previous shaped installation CD. and don't inquire from me what the registry does - would not have faith it so a ways as i ought to throw it! get an exterior backup thingy from Maplins for roughly £30 @Becky: yeah, once I replaced my motherboard i finished up with 2 weeks of trauma!

do your self a favour and buy new from a reputable etailer such as www.dabs.com for example.
at least your drive will have a 12 month guarantee with it.

but if you want to gamble, then do so.
just remeber if you are looking for a reliable brand of hard drive seagate are the most reliable brand on the market. speaking from personal experiance.
