I do not understand why a food bank would not have been able to help you. But you cannot go wrong with your nearest church....more than likely they will help you out. I have been there before....I will pray for you.

If you give a man a fish he eats for a day. If you teach him to fish he eats his whole life. Go out, get a job.You will have some self respect and will be teaching your children how to live in this life instead of depending on others to hand you what they have worked so hard for.Nothing in life is free. Most stores need extra help during the holidays. And if you work hard and prove to be dependable they often hire you full time. When you get your first check will you want to be giving it to someone who doesn't want to work? Get some pride and self respect, get a job! Merry Christmas

If you can't get anything from foodbanks or churches (check with local churches- even if you arent a Christian they should be willing to help you) you probably need to consider selling or pawning something you own to get money for groceries, I.E your computer, or other electronics.
Good luck!

Try the Salvation Army. They helped me once after a hurricane, and I understand that they often keep a pantry for people in need, but you have to ask. And, even if you do not have a faith or attend a church, you can walk in and ask to see the Priest/Minister/Pastor, and talk with him about your dilemma. Most likely, he will help. But, don't ask for money, because chances are you will not get any.
