Heavier than a log book but lighter than things written in stone. Nobody knows the exact volume as they're bound to secrecy.

It depends upon the contenet of the tome. Some only have 20 pages, but the content is very hard to digest-ergo small but heavty.

Others have many pages and little to digest - not weighty, just light doggerel.

Depends... a skinny little paperback that has an effect on the way you think or see the world - is a very weighty tome indeed!

(Check out "Dark Universe" by Daniel Galouye)

Whereas a huge 6,427 page leather-bound 'yawn-fest' is as nothing!

a tome is a big book
i would say about 5 kg or 10 pounds
over a tun?
i think a tun is 2240 pounds, 954 kg
seems a bit heavy to me
